Mexico Recap

Where shall we begin? Things have been busy!

When we last left off MIP artist Jose Luis “Chocs” Campos was on his way to Torreon, Coahuila, Mexico to play the Laguna Drumfest in October 2010. He was amongst many other talented drummers, including Derek Roddy (Hate Eternal) and Javier Barrera (La Quinta Estacion), that played on both day 1 and 2 of the event.

On both days Jose Luis played a mix-medly that he put together infusing hip/hop, pop, rock and latin laced music that showcased his talents. on Day 2, he was invited to play alongside Derek Roddy and Javier Barrera and do an improvised jam. All three “killed it!” There was no other way to put it.

Jose Luis left a strong impression on the fans who came out. It was evident by the swarm of fans that flocked for pictures around his merch booth. Overall, the experience was a great experience for Jose Luis Campos and MIP Music Group to showcase “Not Just Druming.”
